Title:
'How can Musical Theatre inclusion in mainstream education benefit a teachers and performers future career within the arts?'
Aims:
- Identify what teachers within the arts feel is important about inclusion of musical theatre in mainstream education.
- Discover when teachers and performers in the arts were first introduced to musical theatre/ performing arts, and find out how important that was in influencing their future career.
- Start a debate on what path teachers and performers feel produces the best type of teacher.
- To investigate how I as an educator can allow my pupils to feel fully engaged in learning and challenged with their own capabilities.
Objectives:
- To improve my understanding of how important the arts are within mainstream education from different professionals perspectives.
- To aid aspiring teachers and performers on how a future teaching/performing career in the arts can be obtained/sustained successfully according to established professionals.
- To improve my knowledge and approach as a teacher in order to maximise future career opportunities and business potential to run my own performing arts institute.
